Make a photo book with an AI assistant
You can ask your AI assistant to make a photo book. You bring the photos, foto foto makes the book. You get a link to view it.
What you need
You need your photos and an assistant that can add an MCP connection. MCP is the connection your assistant uses to work with foto foto. You do not need a foto foto account to start.
Connect your assistant
Add foto foto in your assistant’s connections. Use this address:
https://fotofoto.app/mcp
Choose no authentication if your assistant asks. No API key is needed. Now ask for what you want, in your own words:
Make a photo book from these holiday photos. Show me the book first and tell me the price including shipping to the Netherlands.
Bring your photos
Attach your photos or give your assistant access to the album you want to use. An Instagram profile alone is not enough. Your assistant needs permission to retrieve the photos.
The assistant sends the chosen photos to foto foto. We make a book using the same layouts as the app. Creating and viewing it is free.
Save your book
Open the link from your assistant. You can view the book first. To save it, enter your email address and the one-time code you receive. The book then appears in your books.
You can change the title, cover, photos and layout in foto foto. You do not need to give your assistant the sign-in code. Save your book within seven days, otherwise we remove the unsaved book and its photos.
Order when it is ready
Your assistant can get the price of your book including shipping to your chosen country. A short book needs enough pages before it can be printed.
An assistant with MPP can handle payment after you approve the book, delivery address and total. MPP is the payment connection for assistants. You can also pay yourself through a Stripe checkout link. Creating a book or getting a price does not place an order.
For people building assistants
The connection uses MCP Streamable HTTP. Book creation is public, with limits per IP address and across the service. Each book gets its own private book link. It gives no access to other books or an account.
The assistant can create and view books, check prices and buy a copy. Editing stays in the existing editor. The same functions are available over HTTP for a WhatsApp assistant, for example.
The technical documentation covers the tools, photo limits, email verification and payments. An OpenAPI specification is also available.
